Time to Panic in Boston?

Posted: April 6, 2011 by Matt Kelly in Uncategorized

The Boston Red Sox the archrival of the New York Yankees and the favorites to win the Al East and go to the World Series so far they arent living up to expectations. The Red Sox are off to their worst start to the season since 1996. Boston is now 0 and 4 on the young season.   Picked by many to win the AL pennant in 2011 after adding All-Stars Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez this winter, they were swept in three straight games to open the season in Texas, where the Rangers clubbed 11 homers and outscored Boston 26-11. This is starting to cause panic for Red Sox fans as they are the team to beat and are having trouble shutting down the opposition. Last nights loss to a terrible Indians team didn’t help as Boston lost 3 to 1 to an unproven pitcher in Josh Tomlin. It is not looking good for Red Sox Nation especially with the Yankees off to a 3 and 2 start and the Yankee offense is clicking right now hitting at least two home runs a game. Did the experts get it wrong will it be New York and not Boston winning the Al East and the Al Pennant we will just have to see but Boston looks weak panic could be coming soon to Boston.
