The worst performances ever

The people of America new what to expect coming into the Super Bowl, that is, a good game. The football aspect of the Super Bowl delivered as the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25. However, as the majority of people already know, the Super Bowl–to many non-football fans– is not about football, but rather the entertainment value; the commercials, the pregame spectacles, and the coveted halftime show. However, happy as the football fans who wanted a good game, the entertainment seekers, it is to be expected, were very disapointed. The disappointment stared early as Christina Aguilera–who seemingly needed a Genie in a bottle to remember the words to the national anthem– fumbled the words to the national anthem. Then it was the halftime show. Not only was it the most random group of pop and rock artist, having Usher with the Black Eyed Peas with Slash, but usually for a solid concert you need sound, which Fergie didn’t have as she tried to sing. The the “V” int he word LOVE did not light up. There was obviously not enough practice, or the Super Bowl committee was to worried about another “Wardrobe malfunction.” Nevertheless, if it means better halftime shows, I think I CAN, but more importantly, WILLING to sit through a halftime show with a quick glimpse of Janet Jackson’s nipple, than I am a horrific show, which–with all it’s lights–is a seizure waiting to happen.
